PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant academic, internship, work, or personal project experience designing mechanical components (e.g., cooling systems, plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes).
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools and analysis tools (e.g., 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, Solidworks, ANSYS, or other FEA tools).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in mechanical design, liquid cooling, and analysis in a hyperscale data center environment.
Experience in mechanical engineering and design principles with specific expertise in the areas of design for medium-scale production, sheet metal and injection molding, structural and thermal analysis.
Experience in designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies with an understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.
Knowledge of chip/socket/cooling solution stack-ups, structural behavior, and reliability.
Ability to architect solutions backed by business case analysis.
